[plushies for the nerdy]

i found this website over at chris' blog, and it's hilarious! if you never knew what to get for friends who are nerds, look no further! these are basically soft toys modelled after microorganisms. cute, cuddly, and educational, too! see if you can figure out what these are:

hint: ever seen a nose run?
answer here.

hint: master brewer and baker.
answer here.

and now, my personal favourite, since i get ulcers so much:

Helicobacter pylori

if i see these over here in malaysia i'll buy them. definitely.

how science works, eh? hmm...let me try to recall. haha. i think it's alright, but you do have to put in abit of independent reading. the textbook for it is super thick, and it's all photocopied from the lecturers.

i found it okay, if you can survive design of science, then this one shouldn't be any problem.

independent reading = alot of readings to do. lol.

i dunno, i guess the subject was alright for me. workload was quite heavy, but it was bearable. you'll have other subjects to worry about, like microbio and cell metabolism, haha.
