[gushing over gashas]
when i was younger, i've always had this immense liking for japanese plastic models. you know, the famous gundam kits, tamiya cars and what not? back then, the only thing keeping me from having truckloads of these stuff was the fact that i had limited funds. in retrospect, i guess that's a good thing, cause most if not all of my toys are now misplaced/broke/maimed.
but now that i'm working and earning money, i find myself pumping more and more money into getting my hands on toy figures, specifically anime figures. i'm starting small though, and going only for gashapons.
gasha-what?? yeah, i was just gonna get to that. >_>
gashapons, or "capsule toys" in english, are generally small figures (8-15cm) that the lucky geeks in japan get to purchase from vending machines. as the name implies, the figures are usually packed in capsules, and some measure of assembly is required to put the figure together. it's not that hard to imagine-lah, you know those tikam machines where if you place a coin into the slot and turn the handle, you'll get a ball with some cheap toy inside? those type of machines-lah.
these figures usually come in a set, where you probably have roughly 4 or 5 different characters. of course, purchasing them in sets means you dont have to go and tikam and hope you get a figure that you already dont have. in the span of 3 weeks, i've spent close to rm250 on 4 sets (18 figures) but i'm sure there will be more to come. behold, the sets for your viewing pleasure. XD

my first purchase: ichigo 100% (the first 6 figures on the left) and girls bravo gashas (the next 4).

my second purchase, the now rare bleach gashapon set 1. XD

just got these tenjou tenge gashapons yesterday. yep, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your eyes. these bust figures are certainly well-endowed. and it's not all for show, because...uhm, they...er, bounce. yep, that's right, those boobies bounce (thanks to a built in spring)! >_>

Holy moly! You guys get some sweet toys over there. Those are about 250 times better than anything you get out of a capsule in the US.
Maybe that's a good thing, because my wife would kill me. Tetsujin 28 and Giant Robot figures are one thing...
AHA! Would you happened to be that guy over lowyatnet forums? >:D
zomg it's infested!
yeah, i'm the entity they call jhcj in the lowyat forum. XD
